I think personally that this whole concept is ridiculous. If the girl who has you friend zoned is smart and has a beautiful heart and all the things you look for, then make a move, but if it was her looks that had you being nice or you now realize that she is shallow, move on and look for other people, because she won't notice you.

I agree that some girls are stupid and don't pick up that their guy friend is trying to make it a more serious relationship, but honestly, all this talk of the friend zone annoys me. The girl who has "friend zoned" you has no obligation to make this relationship any more than it is, and the girl is not a mind reader. If the guy doesn't make his feelings clear, he is not the victim, he is the cause. However, to reiterate, I know that some girls are blind to that sort of thing, but I believe that these are the sort of girls always on the hunt for a man. Relationships should be precious, and dating is actually to find a person you're going to love for the rest of your life, and I think the modern glamorization of dating as some sort of game is very inaccurate. But some girls buy into that game, and here we have it. Guys are friend zoned to the girl they want, because she has known him longer and in this game, fresh meat is best.

Smitty, if I was going to date a guy, I'd date a guy who said stuff like that...
