Oh. My. God.
Me and my best friends were talking about TFOIS, and shall we say a girl with a "special" level of intelligence overheard us, and she said, I quote:
"Oh! The Fault In Our Stars! Isn't that, like, about a girl... who has a 'problem'?"
We both stared her down.
"What? She does!"
I left to go into the hallway, leaving my friend to deal with the idiot. My friend told me later that she corrected the girl, saying that Hazel has cancer, and the idiot said:
"Oh. But aren't people who have cancer, like, bald?"
My friend then left in disgust.

I get my laptop and look up disney songs... I once did this outside, before realising that we can always hear the neighbours, so they could probably hear me...

I'm breathing in, the chemicals...

I think when I do it I sound like a beached whale...

Me too. Plus, Love your username. Love Tennant best for his role as the Tenth doctor, though he is just generally an amazing actor. Good choice.

I would seriously love this to happen in real life. Not to me, but to someone else.

Which is ridiculous. Think about it, parliament would never allow that, ever. This is a logical fallacy, specifically the slippery slope fallacy.

So I was in the cinema seeing Maleficent... The pink fairy came out, I almost had a heart attack. So I was sitting there, jaw on the floor, and one of my friends looks over and asks me what the hell is wrong, and I just stammer and point,
"U-UMBRIDGE. IN PINK. RUN."
And she look at the fairy and her jaw drops and she's all
"No. No, no. NO. NO!"
And we both just sit there in total shock until the fairy grows big and it reveals that, in fact, it WAS Umbridge. And that is the story of how I missed the plot of Maleficent because Umbridge showed up. Curse you, Umbridge.

Thank you. I try my best. Cloudiness's original comment was about the lessons we could learn from TFOIS, and how it could help adolescents who've never been though grief. I've never been through grief, and who knows, It may help, but I wanted to make this point. The book was not written to teach. It was written, I believe, because the idea of Augustus and Hazel was so beautiful and so tangible that it HAD to be written and shared.
