Massive protests in Warsaw, Poland after the government bans abortion 2 comments

Heard this on the news last earlier this week and if I remember correctly: abortion was mostly already banned in Poland, they removed the if-the-fetus-is-sick clause that was used in like 90% of legal abortions. (the only accepted abortions are now in the case of rape or incest)

It is only one study to my knowledge, but stock and accounting performance suffer more the more you pay your CEO:

Research shows that CEOs actually makes a company worse, so playing them to do as little as possible is probably not wrong.

Just like "nerd" has lost most of its negative connotations by today, "otaku" too has become much less stigmatised in recent years.
I'd rather go by "moe otaku" than the actually hurtful alternative "moe buta" (=moe pig) or the too weak alternative "moe-suki" (=likes moe).

People shouldn't judge us otaku because of the shithole that Sankaku Complex is.

No problemo, Kaeru-san.
It is still better than Japanese who write ninja like ninzya because that's how you (can) input it on a computer.

Never seen anyone transcribe ショ as "shyo" before.
Hepburn says "sho" and some Japanese might write it "syo", but the in-between?

As many Americans thinks the constitutuon gives them FREEDOM = do whatever they want, so Walmart disallowing you to lick on food "invades" those people's perception of their "constitutional rights".

Probably impossible to tell from a person's face, but give access to all of a person's internet history and it should be a piece of cake!

With their track record, I'm pretty sure we can say for sure that any numbers officially released by the CCP are not accurate.

Beijing ousted four pro-democracy members of the legislature, as it is illegal under the new security law to promote division within the "country".
Rest of pro-democracy members in the legislature resigned in proteat, as they cannot be lawfully be pro-democracy anymore.
So the Hong Kong legislature will now be 100% pro-Beijing yes mans, thus Hong Kong has now lost the fight.
