Because kids can be really stubborn. And it does work. If they get popped once that doesn't mean they won't do something bad again. But there are different ways of parenting and I see nothing wrong with raising your child without doing any of this if you have a different way or if your child just doesn't need it (like I said my mom only spanked my sister and I when we were little because we learned our lessons when we were younger).

Me and my best friends always sleep in the same bed when we spend the night with each other... We've never felt awkward about it. Is that weird? O.o

I was just trying to tell you what this post was trying to get across and you seem to have this urge to start a fight. I see what you're saying okay? Mothers and fathers should not just take control of their sons and daughters relationships and I realize this but if a mother or father realizes that the person their son or daughter is dating is a bad person using them for whatever reason I am not just going to expect them to keep quiet about it. That does NOT mean that they go and "make them go away" but that DOES mean that they should speak up about it and talk to their son or daughter to ask them to at least keep a look out. I'm not saying that they should go and not let their child date unless it's on their terms (I'm sorry if that's how it sounded). I'm afraid that this argument isn't going anywhere so I'm going to quit commenting to you.

There are nice guests that should definitely make accounts so they can make friends but then there are the ones who come to websites just to take their anger out on random strangers and I think that that is what this guest is on top of being bitter because he can't see the post.

Did guest make an account or are you a different person? Anyway you honestly couldn't think of anything better to say than "I think you're an idiot then"? (It's than by the way) How about you try being nice? It's a good habit to have instead of going around calling people idiots since you couldn't think think of anything else better to say.

I'm afraid that that's not the point of this post. It's just stating that the mother isn't going to put up with any crap. Even if you raised your child right that doesn't mean he/she won't make mistakes and will find the perfect man or women on the first try. Though this isn't my favorite post since some of these "rules" aren't very good like how she implies that she snoops through her sons phone and how she thinks that she can control who her son hangs out with with the snap of her fingers but you seem to not grasp what this post means.
