Surprisingly no, I am a young las, 21. My dad worked in advertisements, made a bunch of them so in a weird way ads were almost as important as whatever show we were watching when I grew up. I got to learn a lot about the history of television.

Exactly! I HATE when the only thing about a character is a singular trait, like their sexuality. That is not who you are as a person, neither is your race or your gender etc. If one thing about you is all you are as a character, then you are not a well rounded, well written character imo.
