best still- he befriended the pirates to such an extent to where he went on raids with them and helped around the ship. when he made it back home, however, he pulled a 180 and had them executed. dude was a cold, cold bastard.

there’s a book about this kind of thing in a more modern setting called The Gun by CJ Chivers, about the evolution of the machine gun to the AK-47, and it’s development, cultural and tactical impact. basically it took the firepower of a machine gun and placed it into a nearly indestructible package that a random 12 year old can use (and very unfortunately has used), anywhere, any time, in a package that quite often can fit in a trench coat or suitcase. i HIGHLY recommend reading it it’s excellent and very well written and sourced.

make the serial killer Matt Dillon from The House That Jack Built and you’ve got a deal. or Patrick Dempsey, for real left-fielder.

but why do you think General Patton was saying is that, like with the Wermacht, not every member of the SS was pure human scum. Most of them, absolutely, and they deserve what they got, but few, very few more or less put into the position and didn’t have much choice about being there, and didn’t participate in such crimes. that is not to be quoted! :)

I used to love this guys videos, but after he brought on Tucker Carlson and I had to unsubscribe. He was one of the unpolitical, kind of? But that took the fun out of it.

odd opinion; the only good shreks are one and two and two is arguably the better one.

The mold is great, especially on a nice burger, with a little bit of bacon aioli on a brioche bun. It’s weird, but you gotta try it!

not to be a know it all, but the Japanese were actually super into gunpowder as a weapon. First they use rockets, but then when they started doing trade with Europe (I think first exclusively with denmark) they got super interesting firearms and started developing muskets as early as the 1700s.
