only trouble is it doesn’t have the same weight capacity as modern concrete, which would very much limit its use to anything but pedestrian traffic

my mistake, i thought Iran had a different flag.
also, not to argue against the meme, but shouldn’t the British be in the mix somehow? it was their patsy that alienated the people of post-colonial Iran and fomented the revolution, and then the US gave the Shah asylum which pissed the Iranians off and then the ayatollah took control and shits just gone from bad to worse ever since. so for now, yeah, Iran is doing it to itself with its oppressive regime and violently sexist policies, but there have been other players too (although ironically it WASN’T the US who started it, if i remember right…)

this country has more than its fair share of problems but the multitude of blessings we find for ourselves by the virtue of living here speak for themselves. i thank God every day, every time i look at places like Ukraine, Sudan, Venezuela, etc, that not only myself but my wife and children are blessed to live and grow here.

i’m not defending the CIA, wanna start there, but you gotta understand that the CIA asa bureaucratic organization is HUGE. you know the saying that “one hand does not know what the other is doing?”. this place is so freaking huge they don’t even know how many hands there are, and when it comes to black budgets and special projects, it gets even worse. so you gotta think; as big as this place is, it wouldn’t be very hard for a Special Operations Group team to act very illegally with absolute anonymity and the investigation never even come close to finding it. the organization within the organization investigating may very well have been telling the truth as far as it knows.

i agree that that’s not a very helpful response, but there’s merit in using exercise as a way of making small physical improvements and releasing endorphins to aid in your overall well-being. not only that, but the time to think and improved mental wellness may help you come up with some solutions to the problems that found you where you are.

Love the origin story of the F-15, and can’t believe it still holds up today!
another interesting cold war happenstance like this was the 50’s Bomber Gap incident. essentially the Russians tried building a modern post war bomber but could only get like 10 quality ones off the ground, and so to make up for their lack and to mess with the west they flew them everywhere and in plain view, painting different tail numbers between flights and fooling the west into thinking they had hundreds. so what did we do? built HUNDREDS of our own, only to find out the truth later.

something else to think about- nuclear waste is, and has been since the beginning of the use of nuclear power plants, relatively east to store. in fact, you can recycle and repurpose old defunct mine shafts that sit below the water table and seal them in there so that there isn’t any risk of contamination, so mankind is continuing to get some use out of them.
