You don't get to say what they should or shouldn't do, guest. Some people live by the precept that even when others want them to explode, they'll keep being nice. I am not saying that's the case with all store clerks, just saying that only because you have no human empathy you can't dictate how other people lead their lives.

There must be some sort of skewed perception involved in deriving personal entertainment at the expense of harmony between people.
If you just realize that the drama doesn't mean joy for the parts involved, but rather stress and all sorts of negative feelings, maybe the spectacle will lose much of its appeal.

No savepoints, though, and no multiple lives. Also almost entirely unpredictable and you always end up dead, leaving behind all you've had amassed that was so much work to acquire in the first place.
