This looks like an Asian Small Clawed Otter, the smallest species of otter, and otterly adorable.

Giant Pandas are 100% bears and not more closely related to raccoons, that's a weird myth.

Their bones are too dense to fly, but perfect for diving and swimming. Puffins are really cool in the sense that they can fly (moderately well)and dive, they have dense bones but also smaller bodies. Also birds are basically dinosaurs, especially penguins if you've ever looked into their evil little eyes so I can't blame God if he's scared.

When I went to IT 2 a lightning storm started while we were in the movie and the power went out for about 5 minutes. All of us in the theater were trying to figure out if it was a planned part of the movie lol

From what I've read, specifically from polar bear international, the populations have increased since the 80s due to greater hunting regulation. The worry now is that the declining sea ice will decrease their ability to hunt and thus lead to their populations going into decline once again. However, this hasn't necessarily happened yet and the threatened status is in anticipation of the lessening sea ice. I do agree though that the situation has been weirdly popularized while other species are doing much worse, such as the sumatran tiger who are critically endangered.

In this context it's clearly. They could say it as "it's pretty clear it's a dinosaur" or as "it's pretty clearly a dinosaur."

Yes the polar bear population has increased in the last 20 years, but they are still classified as vulnerable or threatened (depending on the specific population). There are around 30,000 but because of their huge range it would be reasonable for there to be 60,000 to 80,000. It's awesome that their population has increased, but they are definitely not out of the woods. Edit: whether their population is increasing or declining also depends on the specific population (location) you're talking about and there are those more affected by climate change whose population is in decline.

Even for those of you who believe climate change isn't real or that the government uses it to control you with fear, what's the harm in at least using your own containers to reduce your waste? You can go visit a landfill or walk a public beach to see with your own eyes how much trash we spread everywhere.
Your own cloth bags instead of paper or plastic, reusable coffee cups for your morning coffee run, bring your own containers to certain stores bulk sections, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner bars, reusable straws. Employeeing any or all of these makes a huge difference, and you can still vote however you want.

This is exactly what my fiance and I are doing, just going on vacation to Maui and getting married on the beach. Less drama, less stress, and no feeling like we're just throwing away thousands of dollars for one day.

The fact so many people really think like this about animals disheartens me. Too many people only care about themselves. Yesterday I saw a news article about the potential reintroduction of Grizzlies to the northern cascades (if the idea gets enough support) and so many of the comments below it were people voting no because they think they should be able to hike and camp there without worrying about bears.

Cats and dogs can get along 5 comments

I've always been fascinated that cheetahs get along so well with dogs while other big cats would not. Dogs are even the dominant animal in this scenario. Maybe because of cheetahs being in a different genus than the other big cats and that somehow changing their behavior/attitude? Adorable seeing them together regardless.
Other big cats like tigers and clouded leopards that can't purr make an affectionate noise called a chuff when saying hello to each other or people they're familiar with.

Super cute photo! On a serious note though tigers and other wild animals are not pets. In areas that do allow ownership for whatever insane reason please don't buy a wild animal. Babies that are sold are almost always either taken from the wild after slaughtering their parents (contributing to the diminishing population) and selling their parts or bred by extremely irresponsible people who don't care about the animals' welfare.
On top of that most people who want a wild animal as a pet only want them because aw how cute or because it looks cool. They don't take into consideration how complicated PROPERLY caring for it will be (space, shelter, nutrition, healthcare, ability to express natural behaviors) or what happens when it gets too big/strong to handle safely. Best case scenario these animals eventually end up in a zoo or sanctuary like mine that can actually take care of them. Worst case scenario they get killed.

This is awesome! I wish my zoo had these on every exhibit so visitors can understand where the animals come from and that zoos don't just take or buy animals from the wild.

I don't care that she's black, it's a remake or a reimagining in my mind not a shot for shot remaster. I would hope that when they do auditions they are basing their choice on who captures the spirit of the character best. Think of it this way, what if you grew up loving and idolizing a certain character and wanted to be like that character but then you become an actor/actress and are turned down for the role because you are the wrong skin color. Is that really fair if you otherwise can capture the characters personality and have a passion that others might not for the role?
