I don't think this quote is referring to that. Common sense tells us that rape is not the victims fault. This quote doesn't apply to that, more so "My gender is preventing me from getting me where I want to be in life."

PREACH. As a woman from the US, I have never had issues with inequality simply because I am a female. That's probably because I grew up without someone telling me I was treated unfairly. I grew up with the mindset that I was equal to men, and consequently, my gender hasn't stopped me from doing anything.
