For all the insults he gets, Ronaldo can be a good guy, and this was a sweet moment. Fan was trying his best to engage with him in Portuguese - may not have sounded perfect, but by heck, give him credit for trying, don't laugh at the kid. Respect Ronaldo for defending him here

Oh god, yes. I hate it also when they survive with limited HP, then the trainer uses a Full Restore. It typically happens with the Elite Four, of course. Still grinds my gears. Just let me fucking win, and we're all good.

When my pokémon survive with 1HP, I thank my lucky stars. When it's my opponent, usually because they have the fucking Sturdy ability, I'm unapproachable with rage. Yes, I take it too seriously. Yes, I have no life. Pokémon is my life.
