The country is not drowning in student loan debt. Only some of the people who have chosen to take out student loans are drowning. Everyone had a choice, that's how freedom works.

It's true wholesale prices are less in the auto world just like anything. But there is never a $20 - $40k difference for new. And the only place you'll regularly see a $5000 margin on used is when crappy little dealers buy non-guaranteed auction cars (which guarantees that theres something significant wrong with it) and sell it off their sleazy lot as if it's ok.
.
New car dealerships cannot typically get away with that crap because the volume can't afford a bad reputation.

If Disney bends to people like this, all we'll ever get is gray colored, uninteresting, politically correct characters. Then they'll bitch about that too.

It appears that guest_ was suggesting that defending the country in armed combat is only needed because they must have done something to provoke the attacker.
.
I think Pear Harbor was an example that contradicts the above theory. I was also being very sarcastic.

You must be referring to that time the United States provoked Japan into attacking Pearl Harbor?

Maybe both, but i'd say its 95% living beyond our means.
.
People always joke about boomers being able to buy houses when they were young, but boomers were also not being aggressively marketed into buying crap they don't need. I think the real injustice is that people have gotten WAY too good at convincing consumers that they can't live without a $1k cell phone or a $80 t shirt. But it takes 2 to tango so shame on the consumers for allowing them to do it as well.

I'd say its almost a 100% chance that a guy who wears Glock on his hip in public is doing so legally. Which means he had to have passed the conceal and carry course and a very thorough criminal background check.
.
So that guy in gray would probably make me feel comfortable enough to take my eyes off captain denim and enjoy my $4 truck stop breakfast.

Why do you guys feel laura lux originally created that tweet? (I'm being serious)
Why would she manipulate her language to describe a more extreme event than what actually occurred?
.
What's in it for her?
