I'll also bet they know of a LOT more than that too, and it's more about the show of compliance.

Guest, do you think our goal, as a country, is to try to avoid conflict or hard feelings with other countries?

My point isn't that we should not vote for a 3rd party. My point is that the entire voting structure is rigged. Without Trump's presence in 2016 the Republican candidate would have been Jebb. A 3rd bush and a 2nd Clinton do NOT represent the two most qualified people our country has to offer.
.
A vote is a total mirage if the only two options are hand picked by the real people who truely run the country.

If we would elect a 3rd party candidate, the sitting powers-that-be would stop at nothing to get them removed. They would use their media to slander them. They would make false accusations and use they're intelligence branches as "investigation" weapons to imply guilt. It would look a lot like.... well Trump.
He's arrogant and a bad role model, but Trump is the closest thing to a 3rd party we've ever had. He's an outsider, and the insiders (including Republicans) have done everything in their power to get him out.

Guest is right in that congress wont issue a subpoena because they're bored. But they will clearly issue them for political purposes. Much to what famousone said above, there has been MASSIVE abuses of power in the last few years, and I'm not referring to the Trump administration. I'll bet some important heads are going to roll by the time this is all done. We'll have to wait and seen.

Politicians have been campaigning on 'acid rain', i mean ' climate change', I mean 'global warming' for decades. 10-year predictions of impending doom have been around since the beginning and they have not come true.

It's WAY more rhetoric than it is a plausible future.

Writing that showing losses is ideal is not tax fraud. The act of showing losses is very normal in business and doesn't even suggest illegality to people who understand accounting.

Pregnancy is a very plausible outcome of of having sex. The mutual decision to have sex is where both partners enter into the risk. If the dude wants to avoid child support, his opportunity to do so was way back under the sheets (or portapotty, i dont judge).

So the goal is to "not have to do anything"?
A perfect world is one where everything is provided?
I doubt that's the case

No. No. No. Today's kids have it harder! You know, how they are FORCED to pay back the loans that they sign. Or how hard it is to find a way to make money in these times of limited opportunity! Did you know that for the first time in history, companies aren't willing to hand out high salaries for young people who haven't mastered skills or who don't yet know enough to bring high value to the team! First time ever (apparently)

I think people, particularly when we are young, simply lack a great deal of prospective. I also don't think this lack of perspective is unique to recent generations as it's certainly been the case since the beginning of humanity. It was definitely the case for me in my youth! Honestly, its probably somewhat unavoidable.

We just don't know what we don't know. It's just a part of life.

Courage clearly means different things to you and I.
I think our disagreement boils down to the value of a spider. You're value for them is clearly very high, and I respect that. My value for an individual spider or two is low enough that I'm not going to chase one around my home in hopes to catch it and release it. I'm just going to squish it and move on with my day.
.
And 'no' to the irony. I like princesses. I don't particularly care for Disney. The two are not synonymous.
.
I also reject your claim that there are zero spider bites that were not in self defense. Any person bit by a spider in their sleep would be one example to disprove it.
