It also doesn't matter what translation it is, the story of the pentecost is pretty much the same in all versions.

Just read Acts Chapter 2. Its the summary of it. And it wasn't the apostles that gave people these gifts, it was the holy spirit. The scripture is very clear about that. The thought that the apostles gave people magical powers is like saying they were gods, or more than just man. They just spoke about it.

Not it talks about humans having the gift of healing in Acts. As well as speaking in tongues, prophecy and resurrection.

So biblically speaking, the way you get into heaven is believing Jesus Christ died for your sins. Thats it. Being a good/ bad person isn't necessarily the requirement. And because homosexuality is a sin, just like any other sin, its not bigger or smaller, its forgiven if you ask for forgiveness. Just like I sin everyday, its human nature. If people that sinned wouldn't go to heaven, no one would go. You're aunt is equally in the wrong for spreading hate.

Or theres a different way you could see this :
I'm always very friendly to the mormons and Jehovah Witness's that come to my door. Why?
Because in their mind, they are there to save you. They believe that if you do not follow their religion (which they believe to be the truth) you will go to hell. They are there because they want you to go to an amazing place after death.
They get so much rejection, doors slammed on their faces, rude people yelling at them, but yet they still go out of their way to help others who are constantly hurting them.
So if a religious person comes to your door, please, be nice to them.

The Butterfly Effect by L'oreal is amazing, especially if you have long lashes, and it doesn't clump THAT bad. But Clump Crusher by cover girl is awesome, like does not clump at all.

It's actually 100% true. Terry Fox day is a big deal here in Canada. Every year in public school we spend one afternoon walking fot a few hours to remember him.

I don't know if this is accurate , like at all. Haha us Canadians are badasses, and defiantly not apologetic hockey nuts, but for national affairs we are definatly peace keepers... Lol.

That's her specifically, I'm sorry the guests whole point unravels because your friend can't think on her own? I grew up Christian. I've questioned it daily and I have had extensive research into what I believe, also I've participated in religious studies to get an understanding of what others believe.

I know as a Christian I try to think about doing everything in a way of which Christ would be happy with... But calling people fags and saying have fun in hell is not what he would want. The world is changing for better and worse and eventually it will become a national law, not soon, but it will happen, so Christians need to accept it and stop torturing homosexuals now.

It's just basic human rights, straight people have a right that gay people don't. It should be a simple black and white situation of 'stop putting religion in politics and have equal human rights' but people are too ignorant to move pass the fact that what they believe isn't going to dominate the world.

I'll answer for the guest haha. Well I agree that children who don't know what they're doing at church are impressionable and that innocence and trust can be taken advantage of, but my memories from Church are lessons telling me to be nice to others as Christ was, and that no matter what I had someone who loved me unconditionally. But keep in my mind that was just my situation, and there are a lot of corrupt churches, which really sucks /: I think its okay to take children to a church you trust as its ok to not take your kids to church. The shrimp and masturbation comment however made me laugh because we believe the only way to heaven is accepting Jesus, that being said your sins won't put you in hell, or else everyone wil be partying with Satan in the final times ;)

Kso, I am a Pentecostal Christian, and while I don't support homosexuality, I support gay marriage. Hypocritical as it may seem I believe that just because of my certain beliefs as a Christian I shouldn't stop someone from having the life they want. Everyone has different beliefs but for a very long time the church and Christians said "you have to follow what I believe , and that sucks to be you.".. its equal rights for everyone.
At the same time, any gay pride parade I've seen is a lot of sexual images, which no matter what you believe you know isnt great for a kid to see :p but with the context given in the photo it just shows a kid supporting their fathers who love them and have given them a home <3 I see nothing wrong with that kid being there.
