there is this place that I used to go to where the average age was 8 and I was 12 and I basically don't talk about anything but books and every time I went I had to rack my brain trying to find a book that I had read that was kid appropriate

I actually said something like that to the principal at my middle school once when I got in trouble for saying that I didn't mind being in detention for sort of punching someone I really hated. it was an anonymous note and I don't think they knew it was me

and then there is John Flannagan who gets the main characters so close to dying that you actually think they are going to die and then they don't and this goes on for 15 books and eventually you say forget it I am going to stop now but then you don't stop because it is somehow interesting and funny
