Twitter should just build their own Nigeria 14 comments

Lastly, freedom of speech, expression and love is a human right. Having a community and a platform where i can express my feelings and frustration is a right than no person should take a way from me. Buhari is a dictator in a democracy. A democratic president shouldn’t threaten it’s citizens with violent and death threats just because they are protesting for better standard of living.

The government with it’s policies make it hard for indigenes to do business, foreign investors or businesses are almost always frustrated until they leave( for reference uber, shell, chevron and Gokada amongst others). Inflation rate is through the roof. Naira losses value per minute, so many families can’t afford to feed 3 times a day. Even medical personnels are frustrated until they leave the country, the government is not helping in anyway to retain talents in multiple fields. Even Nigerian is looking for a plan b, a country to move to, not because they are lazy but because the system is built to frustrate the masses.

As a Nigerian, Twitters’ response is correct. The presidency is ruining the country with corruption, unnecessary borrowing and stupid policies that endangers life of millions in the country. The presidency and politicians are angry because Nigerians use Twitter as a platform to hold them accountable. The country is riddled with armed robberies, terrorist attacks, bandits, fulani herdsmen killing people in their own homes, kidnappings are an everyday occurrence, police brutality and so on. Twitter is the only space where the youth can openly talk and hold the government accountable both in local and federal levels, which the government doesn’t want, mainly because it embarrasses them.
