I suppose I can relate to that one, although my parents didn't want me to specifically be a doctor. To be honest, it doesn't feel different at all. I still live with my parents (but that's another story), so I haven't experienced the responsibilities of leaving completely alone yet. But I cook my own food, do the housework, pay for my own groceries and other expenses etc. I don't sit around all day and expect them to take care of me. I've been able to do things I wanted from a really young age, so it wasn't like I was expecting to be 18 to finally be "free". Hence why I don't feel any different. But I was never spoiled

I can't complain; I like not being annoyed! But sometimes I get pretty lonely, and wish I had that kind of relationship with someone. My best friend is the closest I have to a sibling. Uuhm, not really, actually. I've never felt that kind of pressure. I'm afraid of disappointing people, but I think that that's what my personality is like in general.
