I mean, it does seem as though you guys are overreacting a bit to this. Saying that just because someone laughs at some dark humor means that they would enjoy it if the actual content of the joke played out in real life is ridicules. By that standard, I would never again be able to watch a comedic movie that also had violence in it because I'd be telling the whole world that I think violence is totally okay. The simple fact is there a difference between laughing at something in a joke or movie and actually condoning the subject matter in real life. Intelligent people can usually separate the two.
