I want to respect the fact that this is true and painful for many people, but I just have to say for my amazing mom's sake, there are many parents out there who are not like this. My mom fought against a bad psychiatrist I had once, who basically flipped this chart around, to make sure I got the help I needed. There are tons of great parents out there who do everything to help their kids when they're going through things like this.
