famousone, shelters are not exactly great safe havens, and there's not always room for everyone. This issue is a bit more complicated than that.

What happened? Nothing. There are nicely dressed, intelligent, good black people then and now, and there are black people who happen to be idiots then and now. Just like every other race.

And what exactly should I do when the medication I take to treat my mental illness is half of why I'm overweight? Yeah, I'm sad, and that's part of why I'm overweight, but medication alone can't make my issues go away. So you know what? While I work my ass off every day dealing with panic attacks and suicidal thoughts, I'm going to eat too much. I'm not going to reach the point of morbid obesity, but sometimes the only way to get myself out of bed is food. And when I reach a point where I can manage my illness, I'll tackle my weight. But for now, please accept that life isn't always as easy as just 'taking responsibility'.

Yeah, like I said, I've been there, and that's what it looks like. And that's really what water of that depth looks like from that angle, it's lighter because of the reflected light. Maybe you should get away for a bit if you think this picture is impossible.

Thank you. The huge stigma is getting in the way of the fact that it's been proven scientifically that addiction is not weakness or being a bad person, it's a physical change in the brain. Let alone the fact it's been proven that decriminalization and healthcare is the best way to stop addiction, not just throwing everyone in jail or letting them die.

This is cool, but at the same time it makes me sad that this is different enough to surprise people.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. My friend developed PTSD from abuse and it's one of the worst things that can happen to people, even when you leave you feel like you're in that danger. Ignore famousone, they clearly are lucky enough to not know what that kind of scar is like.

Just like Islamic terrorists have distorted Islam for themselves so they can feel justified, they've also distorted the meaning of the word jihad, like tylerchu said.

I still see them all the time where I live. I've actually used them lately too, when my phone died.

It's become a bit of a running joke, when something goes wrong in your life to end it with "thanks, Obama", I guess making fun of how he gets blamed for everything. The less related, the funnier.

My name is so common, the novelty's worn off a bit. Also, so many of them end up being total jerks.

Advertisers assign genders to food products so they can sexualize the female ones. Reverse it and it all makes sense.

I love how at this time it was a joke about not understanding reality instead of a reference to reality.
