honestly most newspapers aren't _good_ sources of information anymore either. I've noticed multiple bigger news papers in Germany recall former statements because they themselves had seen a tiktok or whatever and simply put that shit straight in the paper. No factchecking whatsoever. And when it comes to any subject that I might know a thing about they really show how poorly one can research a topic and get away with it nowadays...

Just in case you are unaware: a LOT of folks had their teeth professionally done. Especially on social media, but also in "real life". And you can get your teeth whitened, or coated in a white layer, if you have cracks in the enamel or just an unsightly stain (I don't know the proper terminology). fake teeth are also way more common than you'd think, in younger people than one would guess.
