There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part.

The problem is they already bred, hence having the son or daughter. That's who made me, a pair of heterosexuals.

I know! My parent's were very lazy on the whole making me believe in mythical creatures part of my childhood (the Easter bunny never even removed price tags lol) but if they had, I cannot imagine all the therapy I would need..

I watch this web series on YouTube (which is not letting me link) that I really like, it started out as sort if a cult DC thing and grew to a much larger fan base- but it has the Joker, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, and lots of other characters featured throughout. It's called The Joker Blogs- some of the material is definitely mature, like 15 and up, so view at your own discretion.

Think of it this way- if we focused on a solution to find the reasons people feel the need to bully (insecurity, ineptness ignorance, bigotry, cruelty, vanity, etc) and start at the roots- teaching respect, basic shared humanity, and value. You can look around and see most hate spreads from ignorance, and ignorance breeds fear and cruelty- there are ways to combat that.
.
People who can stand up to bullying also are the ones who don't feel the need to bully, and those are the people who don't raise bullies. It's the same solution.

It is my experience that women with curves (and women who love and accept their bodies in general!!) tend to get all the "candy" they want, lol. Insert whatever metaphor for the nutty chocolate goodness you'd like :-)

There isn't a whole lot of reporting on this issue- since (in America) the focus has moved to the unemployment problem. But the gap between what white men earn in a thriving economy and what women earn is very real, it's called the wage gap. Here is a bullet point article: http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/labor/news/2012/04/16/11391/the-top-10-facts-about-the-wage-gap/
That's American statistics, since you speak of the western world. Feminism is valuable and needed because there is still inequality. Just because things are better, doesn't mean they are good enough, guest.

I completely agree with all of you- I like the way she is using the title and the horrible way she was cruelly bullied to reach out and make something positive come from it. It bothers me, even on this site to see people tell.those who are bring cyberbullied to simply "turn off the computer" or "don't look" I think it's something we need to, as the first generation raised online, start taking as seriously as offline bullying. The impact on the target is the same.

This is going to sound way preachy, but hear me out. I work for a program that takes care of victims of domestic/sexual abuse- we find them temporary homes and shelter, legal representation, etc. So everyday is pretty intense. But I have things happen in my personal life that bother me- I fight with my mom, my dog wrecks the couch- little things. I used to feel bad about even feeling bad about any of it. But a woman who I worked with, who had been doing this kind of work for 35+ years told me "Listen, there is no hierarchy on pain. Everyone has pain, it's all real to them, and none of it should be dismissed. Everyone's pain deserves to be acknowledged, even if it is just by themselves."
It's stuck with me. So I give myself permission to rant about my burnt toast or whatever, so I can move on to help others. Don't feel bad, is what I am saying, in a very long way lol.

You can say that about any group of people- gather a group of people together and someone who is on the outside is going to not understand what they are talking about, So they are going to think them a bunch of elitist snobs. Any group being judged from the outside.

I love the things you post, Mcdonaldo, I think you have a really great view on issues and society already at 14- I know how hard it is having some of those views when they hit up against your faith. You are already a wonderful person, so anything you grow on will be all the better! Good luck :-)

I can see you haven't thought about the consequences of your position- like so many other male anti choicers who will never have to worry about an unwanted pregnancy, you have never thought beyond the rhetoric you speak. There are real consequences to the actions you take, real women are hurt by these laws you choose not to think all the way through.
.
When a woman and her doctor are no longer the one's making the choices for the best care for her, but instead a bunch of politicians and faux politicians who go out and vote her a criminal and take her autonomy from her- there are real consequences. The woman is the one who will have to deal with all the consequences of the crime and punishment that results from being pregnant and still you interpreted my words as an attack on men and men's rights, the only people you have leapt to the defense of this whole time. And that really says it all.
.
I can't think of anything else we have to discuss. Thank you for being honest.
