There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part.

I always tell people to think teenage Justin Bieber. As a non heterosexual myself, I can vouch and say a lot of my girlfriends were sporting 'The Bieber' before he came out. No pun intended.

I've had the same cell number since my first phone... ten-ish years ago? Lol, it's the whole reason I have the same email I have had since high school too, I think my friends and contacts would be too lazy to update their info. Like I am when someone gets a new email/number....which is sad lol

And I am not meaning to ignore intersex individuals- many people who have been born without the "classification" of female have given birth as well- here is an example: http://intersexroadshow.blogspot.com/2011/09/intersex-fertility.html

This is a really great article that covers the science of exploration in male pregnancy, including Thomas Beatie, the trans man who had children: http://www.science20.com/challenging_nature/a_real_pregnant_man_almost_certainly_possible_but_it_might_kill_him

I am not sure where you are going with the whole "I don't think such a law would necessarily make the child a punishment rather than a rehabilitation." I don't think I am understanding you clearly.

It definitely can, but it helps to remember it's not who you are anymore than breaking an arm defines you. You are not defined by your depression.

I definitely see why people could be behind this- but what will happen if we have a generation of children who are not only unwanted but also a punishment by law to both the mother and father? What sort of environment and care do you think they'd grow up in? Children deserve to be wanted and cared for- not to be viewed as punishments.

Whitewashing doesn't always mean taking a character and turning them white- it means taking non-European characters and making them more European. Like in Pocahontas case, they gave her the body type of a white, western woman, rather than that of a native American. Her dress was also made more American princess like rather than traditional. Mulan's face was given larger eyes and lips like Euro- western women, and her skin tone was lightened dramatically. When you take a culture and erase parts to make it more marketable for a Western audience- that is whitewashing.

Everyone pays a tax for public education- I pay it too even though I currently have no children going to a public school. I am okay with that, though, because I want my country to have an educated majority. Terrible things happen when ignorance takes hold...

Yeah, and their building of more functional and workable schools that can house more students... Who do they think they are?

They built a new state of the art school in 2006, so this one was no longer needed. The bankruptcy had nothing to do with it, check out the article and more pictures: http://www.boredpanda.com/abandoned-detroit-school-then-and-now/
