I think one of the big signs of something being wrong internally is not being able to be happy with yourself alone- making someone else solely responsible for your happiness and contentment is a huge burden on them. It also seems it would cause big ups and downs- minor fights would have much bigger consequences if that was all your happiness gone.

Tell her you are glad she can be honest with you, and that she can be comfortable with who she is around you- and you feel you can be the same way. So you have to tell her honestly that you don't feel romantically for her, and that you are (I am guessing) straight. But you still value her friendship.

If that person who is thirty and is bullying you, that is harassment, and there are absolutely avenues of repercussions and protections you can take. More to the point, an older person who is a bully is likely someone who has not had consequences for their actions, and therefore it has escalated and grown into abusive, psychological, and emotional harassment. You stop bullies when they are young for their own good as well, not just for their targets. While I agree that the programs to empower students to stand up and speak out are important, like I have said, they cannot work alone.

That is very well said, where I live we have the "teach your child how not to be a bystander" campaign as well, along that same vein.
