There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part.

This TED talk is awesome! This woman actually designs videogames and made one to battle chronic pain and illness- and I can't think of her name. I'll Google and update the comment.
*** Jane McGonigal, the founder of SuperBetter VideoGames. "When game designer Jane McGonigal found herself bedridden and suicidal following a severe concussion, she had a fascinating idea for how to get better. She dove into the scientific research and created the healing game, SuperBetter. In this moving talk, McGonigal explains how a game can boost resilience — and promises to add 7.5 minutes to your life."

What this is to me is a metaphor for the interrogation that victims of sexual assault go through, the accusations they get- and how completely ridiculous and unnecessary they are. Just like asking what they were wearing, were they drinking, have they been sexually active in the past, etc. Zero of these things matter when it comes to if you have been assaulted, and it's never okay to have someone blame the victim. That is what this says to me.

That's really sad that people are still at that level of immaturity that they see a pretty face and automatically think "stripper." Must be a lot of single guys snort laughing at their own jokes, patting themselves on the back for being so clever where she works.

I had to close down my friends cell phone service and Facebook after he died, per his wishes- the messages people sent broke my heart. It was dozens, spontaneous messages of goodbye. A whole way of mourning via technology.
