I think it's more that I was very withdrawn growing up, so every time I want a hug they think something is wrong when really I'm just trying to show affection. Or want affection.

He said I was his little button nose, but he'd call me buttons for short.

Well my grandpa always used to tell me "you get what you give, buttons, so make sure you give some love"

I'm just a very tactile person and everyone I know is very not and I don't know how to say "hey I need a hug because I need to express to people I love how much they mean to me and I also need affirmation that you like me too and I'm not just someone that you tolerate because I'm clingy and don't know how to meet new people so can I hug you?"
