By suicide victims do you mean successful suicides? If the rate is talking about successful suicides, men will choose methods that are quick such as a gunshot to the head while women will more likely choose swallowing pills. This results in men being 4 times more likely to 'succeed' than women. Shooting yourself is more likely to kill you while pills you can easily a) vomit them up b) not take enough c) be found in enough time to get help.
