It's call head pressing and in dogs it is usually serious in cats not always. If the cat is relaxed when doing so it is not a big worry, but if it is head pressing while they are awake, facing walls, sitting or standing, then they must see a vet asap. As it could be a number of things from the liver not functioning properly to head trauma.
