It just takes time, like an acquired taste. You learn to appreciate it in a way that cannot be compared to the appreciation of anything else because when it clicks you learn to love it unlike you've loved anything else you appreciate it in ways that at first glance you never thought possible. But most people won't give it a chance because they think it's nothing but satan, death and anger, I love it for the emotions it provokes, anger includes, but also the sadness, the rebellion, the hope and the empowerment. So, consider giving it a chance, and if it's not your thing don't judge the people who like it because we all have different preferences. And that applies to all music too.
