Actually it was an Orwellian reference, but yeah, this one applies heavily too.

Well yeah, but it also depends on when their relationship started. Was it out of fear? Did she initiate it? Was she in a position where she HAD to reciprocate in a certain way?
She definitely used their relationship for her personal gain a couple of times, but till then she was too deep, so it's kinda moot.
I am not defending her, she was a bad, shrewd and bitch of a person who was exploiting, manipulating and capitalising on people.

I mean, it's weird for us.
*spoiler alert*
For him, that was his relationship. Now, the reason I am excited for season 2 is to see more backstory on Homelander. Homelander was the first one to be created and the environment he was raised in was fucking abysmal.
We all know that Homelander isn't capable of having normal relationships. But now that he has a son, how would he react to that? Also, I am guessing his son is probably the first natural super.
Will he become an abusive dad or a distant one? Will he have a heart changing arc? So many possibilities.
But coming to the thing, yes it's definitely weird and unhealthy, but for the people involved it's the ideal relationship until they know better AND accept it.
Note: I do not like or idealise Homelander, he's just an interesting character study.

You can whatever you want, it's a free world. What I commented is what I do in situations and I think that people should wait before finally concluding something.
But it's a free wold, do what you feel like, not once can stop you.

You think you have seen the last stage of brovolution?
I will empty out 2 cans of Axe.
I will make your worst nightmares your harrowing reality.
I will make you use Axe.

Repeat after me:
