Guest, though guns are still legal in Australia it is *extremely* hard to get a hold of one. To get a licence you need to pass many tests, and the only kind of guns actually available without being part of the army are generally hunting guns for game etc, so you can't obtain automatic or semi-automatic weapons. Yes, there are illegal guns around too, but there are less illegal guns on the street than you probably think. It's very difficult to actually get them into the country. Knife crimes, however, are much more common and happen all the time

Yeah, I've spent more time in psych wards than I'd care to admit, and I see these young kids coming in pretending and they get out realise how bad it is. Then the rest of us get shit because that 1% fake it, which makes it hard to get treatment when professionals don't believe you so you have to prove you fucking need help
