No, I meant that statement. You can indeed buy anything. These things are highly sketchy, and people just don't care about what goes on in New Mexico. Most people on the east coast don't even know we exist. I don't know how to explain it in a way that doesn't seem "poor me".

Not a grocery store. We have gun fairs in New Mexico about once a month, lasting for about a week. They take place on the fair grounds and you could feasibly buy whatever you could possibly imagine in there. The background check? "Are you a felon?" That's it. I am not kidding. Just some guy asking you a question you can lie on. As long as you got the cash and can lie then you've got a gun.

Okay, thanks for focusing on only one part of that comment. I meant, and perhaps I should've worded it differently, that not all BLM protesters are bad, just like not all cops are racist, not all Muslim's are terrorists, not all Mexicans are dirty and so on and so forth. We are always going to be judged on our bad examples, and that doesn't mean an entire group is wholly evil.

I hate getting into these things but can you blame her? Shining examples of police officers are always shoved aside for the scandals, the breakthroughs, the racists. BLM is mostly seen as a bad organization, because that's how they're portrayed. Example: Black Lives Matter stopped a PRIDE parade. True, but they stopped it for 30 minutes, the amount of time it took the organizers to sign a contract agreeing to include more POC LGBT floats. Everyone, no matter who you are or what you do, will be judged on their bad apples.
