I can't believe how far this meme has come

I am not crying but I am capable of text-based communication with you in the hopes that your mood will improve

I vocalise that the raw features of C++ are incredibly finnickey and unsafe without knowing the proper techniques and using libraries, so IMO it is not a suitable entry-level language. Python, Java, and C# are much easier to learn how to use without worrying about obscure behavior like buffer overflows.

I understand that a big part of C++ is extended use and backwards compatibility (for systems lasting decades). There are pros and cons to every language.

I watched a cool video series by Extra Credits talking about possible precursors of the collapse of the Bronze Age dynasties (like Egypt and Assyria). One of their points was the hierarchical societal structure, with Pharaohs and kings at the top of the pyramid, then scribes and construction workers, with farmers at the bottom. If one of the core components is whittled away, their reliance on it dooms the civilization's old way of life.

It may have confirmed the cops' suspicions of the felons in question, like the last straw
