In the UK, the lights suck. They made it so you can only see the light when you are on either side of the crossing. Wtf?? Could be strolling along the road and little do I know it's red

No... I mean for an 18 and 30 y/o to get together, chances are this 30 y/o is actively seeking a younger partner... Why?

I mean I'm 17 and I would feel weird even dating someone a year below in school because of the maturity difference. There is definitely a marked difference in my maturity in the space of a year.

Same gender marriage is fine because it is two consenting adults. Huge age gaps are not because one individual clearly has much more power over the other. E.g. 18/30
The 18 year old likely does not have a lot of money, a house, much status, a job, etc..
The 30 year old has more power to get away and also to potentially mess up the kid's life.
