They're gonna lose a shit ton of customers with the removal of the standered headphone jack. Whether or not those lost Iphone sales are made up the sales of the special adapter will remain to be seen, but they ARE going to lose a big chunk of their costumer base. Also in Switzerland (either this year or next I'm not sure) I believe they are roling out laws that standardized the chargers on mobile phones. Wouldn't suprise me if that spreads to other places.

I just imagine the part of the contractor that had the job of designing it so it WOULDN'T do this sighed, very, very, loudly when s/he saw the design.
