As much as I would like to, I cannot find this funny, since I know the potential context behind the picture.

I used to have that problem on one of my little toes because the boots I used to wear for work were too narrow, (a fact I figured out much later), I'd have to peel off the built up skin every so often otherwise it would hurt a lot whenever I took a step, to the point it felt like I was limping, (don't know if I really was, no one ever mentioned it). Eventually it just stopped, and healed back to normal because the boots had stretched out.

Oh it will, come November 4th.
Note: this is a joke. Everyone with half a brain knows that microbes listen to no man, and will probably still be here on Election day, unless we do actually eradicate, (I think that's the word I'm looking for?) it by then.

It's a virus, and there are at least two strains going around right now. Immunity to one unfortunately doesn't mean immunity to the other.

If that isn't Twelve and River.
Yes, I know Twelve is a more serious Doctor, but let him have his joy. He deserves it, and cookies.

I really hate that phrase, not just because it's very glaringly wrong, but also because it apparently doesn't mean what it says. It supposedly means that the institution is messed up as a whole, (to put it in sfw terms), which while true, is not what it says. How many people read it for the first time, and immediately got that it wasn't actually saying that all cops are bastards? I certainly didn't.

I really hope not all English teachers are that stupid. Like I'm sure that's how most novel authors operate. That write what they know.

Yeah really. Chances are, the author just liked the color, or outfit, or whatever is being questioned, and so wrote it into their work, (or was being accurate to the setting, like the example above).

If it wasn't an oversight, I'm sure there's a good explanation for it.

In regardle to the comparison, how do you know that the person could afford to part with more than $45?
In regards to Bezos, it's his money, if he only wants to give away the equivalent of pocket change, he's allowed to. The organizations who received it are probably grateful either way.
The mindset that the rich need to give away more of their money, (while understandable), sickens me. Even though they probably could afford to give away 90% of their wealth, if you don't want to be told what to do with your money, you don't get to tell them what to do with theirs. Sure you probably can't afford to part with $45 dollars, but you don't get to judge if the wealthy have given away enough of their own income either.

I'll be expecting the TARDIS then. The Daleks and Cyberman should be appearing any day now.

Okay, that makes sense.
But honestly, people don't seem to want to think things through. Like let's just dismantle the police department, nevermind that we'll have no one to come when we're getting robbed, and fuck the actual good cops on the force, they don't need a job to help feed their families.
