If you're no the tall one, you are either the flag, or the shorter person. I think it's reasonable to assume that you are, in fact, a symbol of the proud nation and not a human based on the fact that you said that someone would jump from 4 floors when seeing you. The human is not able to have that effect, while the flag might.
