I wasn't trying to say it didn't count, just inform the situation. I assume the artist put that in on purpose because they were making a picture of strange things. I just also know that this particular thing isn't particularly werid.

Actually, that's less weird than you think. Some people are actually prone to do some things with their "non dominant hand". This is especially common for left handed people who have spent their entire lives in a right handed world. Writing us usually exclusive to your dominant hand, but things like drinking coffee might go either way. Mant left handed people master doing certain tasks like using scissors or eating with their right hands to fit in easier.

There is also a pair of gay penguins in the NYC zoo who raised an agg from another penguin couple who laid two eggs. Most penguin couples can only raise one egg at a time.
Also, maybe less children being born isn't the worst thing. There are a lot of humans on the planet and only so many resources.

I imagine it's useful for people who basically live on the road and need to be mindful of power usage. People who live in an RV type situation.

@princessmontertru but not everything in your life is your own doing. Good and bad things happen to all of us. We cause some of them, some of them are beyond our control. And not everyone is given equal opportunity for success.
I'm not saying you shouldn't grab your life by the horns and do something with it. I just think its irresponsible to dismiss barriers to success.
I work with a woman who cannot cut up her own pork chop. She has serious a cognitive disability. It isn't safe for her to use a sharp knife. She also has battled many different cancers. She comes from a very wealthy family who can afford the treatment needed for her without it causing overwhelming financial hardship. She has had many many things go well for her, and go very poorly for her that are beyond her own control. It's not always so clear cut that people don't have the same barriers to success as others, but that doesn't make those barriers less valid.

Studies show that the internet is making people smarter. Experts believe this is caused by the wealth of information easily available at our fingertips. People no longer need doctors to treat their ailments or libraries to research information. This has allowed people from all walks of life, in every country and economic situation to have an equal opportunity to obtain knowledge. Scientists now believe that these new found internet experts will be supplying the world with self sufficient data within 10 years.

I'm fine. But I'm also lucky. I come from a family that is financially well off and I benefit from a lawsuit filed for wrongful death of my father. And of course I'd rather still have my father, but I do have that money to support me. Most people don't have that. Most of my friends are in far worse financial situations than I am.
And this is a place of discussion. If you'd like to offer solutions than they are certainly welcome. But @princessmonstertru your comment is far from a constructive response to the conversation. Please treat the people on this website with decency and respect.

I never said they did. I said allowing them to eat meat makes it easier to meet their nutritional needs. And I said that parents have the responsibility to make sure their nutritional needs are meet. "Easier" =/= "Nessicary "

What I've found: When you go to make a salad you choose a bowl. Then you remember you need a bigger bowl. You get out a bigger bowl. You start making your salad. You judge how much lettuce you need. You use the bowl as a guide. You add other salad ingredients proportionately to the lettuce. Your bowl is too small for the salad.
To fix this: Pick a bowl. Decide how much lettuce you need. Get a bigger bowl. Don't adjust your lettuce. Continue making salad.
Alternatively: measure your ingredients, figure out what size bowl you need to fit that much salad (might take a little trial and error). Use the same bowl and the same measurements everytime.

And yesterday was a pretty good day. There is a man I help who has anger issues. He has attacked staff. He beat a staff with a broken chair once. These are the risks involved with my job. There is usually only 1 staff with 5 residents. And staff are there in part for residents saftey. So if one of them attacks another of them, it's my job to intervene.
I work for a nonprofit organization whose primary source of income is government funding. I get paid 9$ an hour because it's what can be afforded. But I won't stay working this job once I have the experience needed to be hired elsewhere. I don't even dislike my job, it's just not worth doing it for 9$ an hour for the rest of my life.

Places would also hire someone with no experience and pay them acceptably are with reasonable raises that encouraged them to stay.
Now anyone who us going to pay you competitively is going to require some experience. And anyone who doesn't require experience will never pay you an adequate amount. I literally have the job I have now because they were willing to hire me even with my very limited work experience. I make 9$ an hour. And this is a job that required a high school diploma, a physical evaluation, I had to get CPR certified, I have to take medication manager class. I had go have ALICE training and fire saftey training. Yesterday I got to work at 8am and left at 8:45pm. I spend a majority of that time attempting to help disabled people improve their lives. I spent 20 minutes being told I was a bitch by a woman because I would not allow her to eat a cookie because her dentist has ordered nothing crunchy. She had dental implants fall out Friday night.

According to Greek Myth, no one. Atlas was forced to hold the earth up and then Hercules took it from him in exchange for doing a favor, and tricked him into taking it back before abandoning him. And no one has even spoken to Atlas since.

@the_grinch I've literally never meet a young person who didn't understand how remotes work only if things aren't in the way. Way remotes still work this way. "________ will you move the ________?" When something is in front of the tv/dvdplayer/roku/whateveryouhhavearemotefor is common. It's only ever really old folks who seem to struggle with it. People who grew up before remotes and whose televisions in midlife were only ever blocked by humans walking by, which also blocked the whole screen. And only just now when they upgraded to a new TV they don't understand why their pill bottle can't live in front of the TV .
And it's not all old folks either. It's just exclusively old folks.

Our town recently built more government subsidized apartments because the ones we have now are far from sufficient. I know people have been on lists to get into government subsidized apartments for years. And when you do get to move, you often have to do so with only a couple months worth of warning and usually within a couple weeks worth of time or you will lose the property. Regardless of the time of year or the current weather. I helped a friend move in a blizzard due to this once.

Also, buying a house in the Midwest when you have lived and worked in the Midwest is still difficult. The cost of living may be lower here, but statically so are the wages.
Its definitely easier to buy a house here than in some other places, but its still expensive. We have a number of empty houses, and a number of homeless people who cannot afford to live in them. And that's not even taking into account that a number if the cheapest homes are also money pits that require more work than they will ever be worth.

Both your children and your pets need adequate medical care which includes the recommended vaccinations at the recommended time as directed by a medical professional. Both your children and your pets need adequate dietary intake for their age and species. For dogs and cats this needs to include a fair amount of meat. For children it must include a fair amount of protein, iron, vitamins A, B and D, and Omega 3. Most humans get many if these needs meet by consuming meat. Any human that chooses not to consume meat should be particularly careful to make sure they are consumed in adequate amounts. If you are responsible for a child it is your job to ensure said child eats adequate food to get the nutrients the child needs. This is significantly easier to do allowing your child to eat some meat.
Children benefit from having pets. Studies have shown childhood pet owners are less likely to develop common allergies, have fewer doctor visits, and have better overall mental health than others.

Being as what you said was song lyrics and what I said was a reference to a circular sort of joke that I'm guessing you likely aren't familiar with, yes.
Ideally song lyrics should follow the exact lyric before them, or a clear reference to the song. (Or a post that reminds someone of the song, in which case they should begin either with the beginning of the song, or the beginning of the chorus)
Also, the joke is as follows
"What is life?"
"A magazine. "
"How much does it cost?"
"A dollar."
"I only have 50 cents. "
"That's too bad."
"What's too bad?"
"Life."
"What is life?"
"A magazine. "
And so forth.
