But whoa, that was not the point i was trying to make at all. I think cows are just as cute as dogs. my point was that the difference is in whether you form a bond with an animal as a friend and companion for life or you form a bond with an animal thanking it for its (probably) inevitable sacrifice.

also, i understand that some of y'all might have had a cow, pig, or chicken friend at some point, but you likely ate/will eat it when it died/will die. You really don't think that about dogs or cats. see a cow when you're out and about? "hey that's a cute cow, a shame i might eat it later." see a dog when you're out and about? "hey that's a cute dog. i want to play with/pet it."
