the eclipse is a large part of the super blood wolf moon, not the other way around, but it's all semantics really lol
also yea the "blood" part occurs for the same reason that the sky is blue and a sunset is red; atmospheric refraction scatters blue light much more than red, so we see on the moon, with the sun on the other side of the planet, only the light that was refracted the least. i might be wrong on that last part tho
