This is a satire article. As much as I do wish it to be true, I've read it myself and it was written by Anthony Borowitz, a comedian who writes in the "humor" section of the New Yorker.

Because Security Cameras are constantly filming. And recording in a high quality for a long period of time would take up an insane amount of space. For instance, a 2 hour, 1080p recording from my webcam was over 3 gigabytes.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this is an actual, official ad for the movie.

Apparently there was a cut scene after the crawl. After the crawl finished, the pan down would have been on the hand with the lightsaber falling to Maz's planet. They apparently cut it because it didn't flow well with the rest of the movie.
