Well unless there is specific signage that a road is closed to bicycles (like an interstate in most cities), bicycles are considered vehicles and can ride on the road, regardless of the speed limit. As someone who regularly cycles on the open road, I encounter far more cars who think that roads are only meant for them and no one else, and consistently put other road users in danger, included other cars. I agree that some roads clearly aren't as safe as other for riding, but that doesn't mean you can automatically kick out all cyclists

You are right, but complaining about bike riders not following the rules doesn't help at all. The fact is many people who do ride their bikes on the road don't know that they have to follow the same rules as cars. The problem is that there is so little education for every day people about how to a ride a bike on the road. Often times people will ride onto curbs because they feel unsafe in the road environment because of people who see them as idiots. It also doesn't help to refer to all bike riders as 'cyclists', because that is just labeling them as others, and is just a way to dehumanize them
