lmao. This scenario happened in class last year. A lady on a video (white) mentioned feeling out of place in the group because she was from Africa. A girl in class say "That women says she's from Africa, but she is white. Is she like delusional or something" TEACHER" I think its part of a delusion, I'm not sure they don't really go into it." Class uproars is a debate on how to treat her.
Me.."GUYS! There are white people in South Africa.. and you can't just go around asking why people are white."

It makes me happy to see people come together and openly discuss mental illness/disorders. Exploring them and being educated is one oh the top mechanisms of coping and prevention of future illness. So yes being "tidy" is a form of OCD. There are degrees of severity. While one person with OCD might have to turn around 4 times before they can sit down another might like their clothes hung up in a precise order.
Although as we say in the mental health field; It's not a problem until it's a problem.
In spite of what the title is. Personally, I don't think we should hide our struggles. Owning them is one of the best things we can do because essentially you are owning yourself. The best relationship I have is with my boyfriend who openly knows of my OCD. He started putting things back the way I like them so I wont get anxiety about it and waste my time redoing it.

Although as we say in the mental health field; It's not a problem until it's a problem.

Admitting the problem is the first step to recovery for addiction, not a mental illness. There is nothing wrong with a person who has a disability. No one is perfect.
