Was the trick how to make his nose explode with blood? Or perhaps his balls to vanish back into his body?

As someone who has spent the last ten years working her way out from under a mountain of guilt for these very reasons, can I offer some advice?
It's *your* life. Trying to live it according to someone else's dreams *may* bring you success and their approval, but if what they want isn't also what *you* want, if you would choose something else without their influence, then DO IT. When you're old and the bounty of life's opportunities are behind you and not ahead, the one thing you *don't* want is to look back and realize that you let someone who doesn't really know you decide what your life would be like.
They don't *get* to or *have* to live with the consequences of your choices. You do. So choose carefully, and don't ever choose something you know you'll regret before you even begin.

Idk, it was kind of his point that teenagers are stupid. He might be flattered that it still translates so well to modern life.

Huh. I would actually say the opposite is true. Yes, religious people can be vocal, but I can't tell you how many times my (atheist to the point of being rabidly anti-religion) dad has thrown the "Science is true whether your believe it or not" line at me. I tend to quote Men In Black back to him, K's line about how "500 years ago they *knew* the earth was round, and yesterday you *knew* we were alone in the universe. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow", which is, somehow, not funny, but eh.
I'm agnostic myself, so I think both sides are pretty amusing.

There should be no regret. That is kickass.
On a completely unrelated topic, are you, by chance, John Barrowman?

"We must get help!" Katherine screamed.
...
That does not sound auspicious.

Fix already knew that Phileas couldn't find any booty in Suez, but Bombay has... other industries.
The question is, are you Fix or Phileas?

I am adding that to my list of favorite measurement type words, including "the ass crack of dawn" or "ass o'clock" and a "metric ass-ton" or "imperial fuck-ton".

Or they come in ONE MINUTE BEFORE YOU CLOSE, order 50 items, and sit in the dining room for three hours, then get pissed when they can't order more two hours in.
