Contrary to popular belief, rape is not about sex at all, it's about power. In fact, a significant chunk of rapists have a consensual sexual partner (who may or may not be the rape victim) at the time of the rape. Sex is simply the means of demonstrating power over another human being, probably because our society has declared sex and sexuality to be one of the ultimate displays of control over another person.
In addition, without penetration, unwanted physical contact with sexual intent is sexual molestation or sexual assault, depending on the jurisdiction.

Asking questions is the best way to fight ignorance. Kudos to you, sass, for seeking knowledge. :)
Restraint, threats, psychological manipulation, etc. are all common elements of rape for all genders.
Just like the poster says, biological and psychological consent are not the same thing. Your body can react to stimulation without your mind being onboard with the plan. Women and men both are known to orgasm during rape sometimes. That doesn't mean they secretly wanted it, it means their reproductive tract works the way it's supposed to under certain conditions. The unfortunate side effect is that many rape survivors think this means they were not raped and they don't report it. Their rapists may even tell them this is the case. This is *false*.
In addition, rape is, by generally accepted definition, "penetration without consent". Genitals are not actually required, though they are usually involved. Forced acceptance of an object or body part into *any* orifice is considered rape.

State troopers and city police don't always get along. There's this sort of passive aggressive war going on between the ones where I live.

Rape is a criminal charge, not a civil one. You can't "sue" someone for rape. You can sue for emotional damages, but that just means he brings you a check when he comes to see your kid.

My niece calls herself a "double knot", knot being a *homophone of "nought" which is a synonym for zero.

Every week for 18 years having to sit with the man who raped you because you don't trust him not to touch your child the same way? Yeah, it's a legal form of torture in my opinion.

These chemicals are actually in all chocolates, the only difference between the various grades are the percentage of cocoa versus milk fat. Dark chocolate just has more of them because it's more cocoa and less milk fat.

Actually all of my collection of stuffed animals and dolls. 94 of them. Each one had a name and stories I could tell you about our adventures together. I had to help pack them into trash bags and carry them down to the dumpster and throw them in myself and then I got a smack on the butt when I spent the rest of the day in my room crying.
Don't be those parents, people. This shit leaves lasting scars.

Chocolate also contains tryptophan which causes the brain to release serotonin, the endorphin that makes us happy.

Still possibly overboard. Now the possibility has been acknowledged, it's going to lurk in the back of the kid's mind like slow-release poison.
