Maybe you can try ombré in caramel first? See how you like it and how it looks on you? It most definitely depends on the place you go because my sister and I are also Indian and my sister got her black hair ombré-d into bright red and it looks amazing on her. I did caramel and I'm really happy how it turned out. My point is to try experimenting small first. :)

Because I'm pretty sure penguin was talking about hunters playing paintball with each other. Paintball with animals is, honestly, a terrible idea. Not only would they be able to not take all the paint off, but now they're colorful beacons for predators, and their own species would probably get confused by their color and turn against them.
