Exactly, and yet we reject all those things at our fingertips. We have created a world full of opportunity, knowledge and choice, yet we deny all of it to ourselves and other. Look around. It isn't something to make people feel empty, it is a wake up call, to stand up and change the stagnant pace of things.

I'd add the idea behind globalization, and although we aren't "controlled" directly, we are influenced and our lives guided by all the various aspects in our society, and it is a form of control that we have come to blindly accept. Not to say there is no need for it, because all human are unique an different we do need some way to establish stability. It is a difficult reality we have when living in large groups.

I wouldn't say ignorance and being oblivious is the same thing. It relates to averting one's eyes away. My apologies if it came out offensive fellow funsuber.

I won't say "anarchy! Down with the man bro!" but if you seriously can't even grasp the concept and realities of modern societies, then that oblivious view is what stagnates progress as a human species.
