It kinda flys in the face of the american spirit of individuality and individual freedom. Judging a man for his very existence rather than his own actions or associations.
The major problem with the ad is that its not sincere. A corporation is not an individual, not a person. Corporations are cold and this was a calculated effort to regain market share. They don't give a damn about toxic masculinity but they know the commercial will get shared all over the place.

Look at it this way. Making you happy was their motivation to do it. Letting them know it worked is all they want.

These things are being brought up because they're thrown out as accusations against men in general even though most men have never done these things and its mostly a messed up minority.
It would be like making a commercial saying black people need to stop committing crimes and leaving fatherless homes and selling drugs. Do some of them do that? Yeah, but you're kind of an asshole addressing all of them as if they all do it. As if these problems are original sin and you need to repent for the sins of all humanity even if you have none yourself

Problem is the movement isnt about academic power its about social power so saying nothing and ignoring them is just letting them take over the movement.
You ignore flat earthers because they have no social power as most dont take them seriously. It's the opposite with radical feminists.

Or how about the stuff that isnt passive like abusing divorce courts, using children as social leverage, abusing the court system in general, using false accusations as social leverage, slut shaming eachother, etc. All the things you listed are passive and forgiveable and it seems like you intentionally avoided mentioning these things.

With all the social power the movement carries nowadays more reasonable feminists would benefit from calling out the loud nut jobs so the whole movement doesn't look like loud nut jobs instead of passively letting them be horrible and hateful with no reprimand.
The loud ones make more things happen and spread more of their own message. Letting them control the movement makes men feel hated, but feminism as a whole seems disinterested in rooting them out. Many feminists share horrible sexist posts about men but also claim the things you're saying; or they like or retweet horrible things others said and maybe throw a "yass queen", "bless", or "male tears" comment in there.
Just kind of frustrated because there are reasonable feminists, obviously; but because they are reasonable they let the unreasonable take the reins and ruin a good thing.

Captain you are missing the point. Youtube is a business and it gets harder to make money if the people making you money aren't making money because they leave. Thus youtube SHOULD make these changes. They don't HAVE to as you said, but it would be buffoonish of them not to get their shit straight.

They just want you to acknowledge they did it. Being rude discourages them from doing it again so maybe say thanks so they feel good about it and do more chores.
