Nope. It's a dude's head with ancient Greek style helmet on. I looked up the history and when they set up in the 1920s or so the leading brand competition was Ramses. So I suspect they picked the name Trojan because it sounded ancient worldey too.

It's called a "Trojan" though (a native of ancient Troy), not a "Trojan Horse" that's being referenced which is a totally different thing.

Also the Archduke wanted to look super sharp so always had himself sewn into his clothes rather than buttoned in. Because of this there was a delay in getting him medical help as they struggled to get his clothes off.

If ever these become popular I bet real money there'll be a cheap battery operated device on the market based on a portable fan that'll spin that thing for you. Bet you right now.

Double-holy 27 comments
zombiestitcher · 10 years ago
Double holy? Well Corinthians 7:1-40 says "Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control."

*insert aliens guy from history channel* 9 comments

This was called the Wow! signal because Jerry R. Ehman circled the signal on the computer printout and wrote the comment "Wow!" on its side. In 2012, on the 35th anniversary of the Wow! signal, Arecibo Observatory beamed a response from humanity, containing 10,000 Twitter messages, in the direction from which the signal originated. Anyone else worried that the first contact with alien lifeforms will be via not just a Tweet but 10,000 Tweets? A lot of humans hate tweets but we're firing off 10,000 of them now? Aliens be like we'll send you a message and what-the-dohickey is this?! What's all this crap you're sending back! Make it stop! We're under attack, repeat, we are under attack! It's a go for launch, I repeat, go for launch. And I'll be like "I 'ain't even mad." because Twitter.

Sleep paralysis is the worst 72 comments

Sleep paralysis sounds simply dreadful. But do you get a foxy vampire nurse every time there's a sleep paralysis moment? Because, you know, that would be all kinds of awful. If you need me I'll be in my bunk.

Work hard 15 comments

I never make excuses as to why I don't work out. I'm totally accountable for my own actions; I don't work out because I find going to the gym really boring and I'd rather do something else. Your move guilt tripper.

Australia's is a kangaroo. 'Ain't never seen a kangaroo either. Canada has the maple leaf. In nature falling leaves tend to fly in one general direction which would not bode well if you wanted to draw some sort of aviational inspiration from it.

I went to a technical school so all the houses were named after famous engineers. I was in Stephenson. Is that close enough to Steve? Did you know George Stephenson built the first public inter-city railway line in 1830? Crazy wild times back then I can tell you.

This can also represent a homeless Nazgûl. Not many people gave much thought to what the Nazgûl were supposed to do once Sauron was defeated.

It says #1 Star Wars Fan but has a picture of the USS Enterprise which is from Star Trek. Star Wars fans and Star Trek fans can sometimes divide themselves into two opposing fandoms. This is like having No.1 Twilight Fan with a picture of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Or No 1. Dog Fan with a picture of a cat. etc.

While I applaud the sentiments behind this it's good that this has been put up by a "guest" as it's illegal to spike a drink in most countries due to the problems with everything from date rape drugs to seriously making someone ill or actually straight up die. So if you're thinking of copying this, don't. Come up with something a little less your-ass-could-go-to-jail.

Life-sized art… 5 comments
zombiestitcher · 10 years ago
Just to clarify the wiping tables and mopping floors thing was about doing the same movements and not a life style statement about how I wish I could just smear stuff on paper and get paid for it etc etc Although I totally would like to get paid for smearing stuff around on paper because that would be awesome.

Art is subjective so please remember this before you down vote me but this doesn't look amazing or difficult to do. It's covering your hands and feet in charcoal and smearing it around yourself in big loops. Maybe I've just wiped a lot of tables and mopped a lot of floors so don't see what the deal is here.

The Myth Of Muscles From Hugh Jackman... 7 comments
zombiestitcher · 10 years ago
I'm sure the poster is right about his comic book theory but the examples don't fit in my opinion. The Hugh Jackman on the left is there as Wolverine because it's a muscles magazine for body builders (bought by male and female body builders) and (unless Hugh goes around with prop claws now) they got a promo photo from the studio. The Hugh Jackman on the right is there as Hugh Jackman for the Good Housekeeping photo shoot. If the magazine on the right had got him on one of the few months over the last decade where he was working out like a crazy man to play Wolverine he'd have been in muscle mode and he'd have been on the cover of that publication as "beefcake" Hugh. So although again the poster is probably right with the theory I think if you need to demonstrate something about comic books you'd need to use comic books because this has holes in it.

Easter egg hunts can get pretty serious 24 comments

We have a rule that our kids at the end have to dump all their finds into a pile and it's shared out equally. This is because we're super lazy. I don't want to be sorting out plastic eggs and color matching buckets.

These are all golden. But #5 "Never take her to the movies on the first date". I was alone once and I took a girl to the movies on our first date. We had ourselves our first common experience to talk about together. We're married now, ended up moving to a little house in a far off country and had two children. So for me the list is solid except for #5.

This is excellent information but one quick question ... Is the shirt and jacket mandatory or is it possible to break out of zip tie in more casual clothes? We can't all be Ron Burgundy you know.
