Ok that makes total sense. I've only seen the one, and the lady who gave it as a present said she had an adult one just like it so I thought maybe they were all like that.

People of course are in wheelchairs for different reasons but for whatever their disability they could have special shoes or boots for foot drop, plus they may have other medical apparatus for which they wear loose clothes. Snuggies are enclosed at the bottom and can be kind of narrow, so for a person possibly paralyzed and unable to lift their legs or behind - you are trying to get both their feet off the pedals and then stuff their legs into an enclosed fabric bag and then try to get it up and over their waist area, otherwise it only covers their thighs and not even their lap -no good at all to them.

Another good thing to do is to go to an emergency room. Hospital officials are required to investigate anything that may possibly be abuse, and to question people about whether or not they feel safe at home. Maybe they could get the right people involved that would believe her.
